Feb 6 - News: Added new loop type and ease-of-use reading
Mood Loops is a predictive reminder tool made for Autistic and ADHD people.
Would you like to capture your feelings and plan for their changes? Mood Loops may be helpful to you.
It's free to monitor 3 moods at the same time. To track more, there is a pay-what-you-want subscription system. See details.
🤯 happened today,
tomorrow I'll feel 😵💫
Plan for 😵💫 for 7 days,
then back to normal 😶
I'm autistic. When something triggers a meltdown, I reset my Meltdown loop. It'll hold my hand through a week of feelings: 🤯, then 😵💫, then finally back to normal with 😶.
I feel less stressed if I simply capture these things so I can look at them.
Do you get upset because you don't know why you're angry? Or why you're happy? Or why you're 🍉?
By defining sequences of known feelings, you can map today's mood to a reasonable cause and then move on with your day, since now you know.
This stops my need to ruminate. If I get exposed to gluten, I reset my gluten loop, and anytime I feel 😴 for the next 14 days I can just accept it.
Mood Loops is for remembering feelings that last a long time. An internet argument makes me extra irritable for a whole week. I can ask Mood Loops: "Help me remember that for a week, please?"
Say I'm tense, bloated, exhausted, and irritable: four temporary symptoms that combine to "AAAAAAAAAA!"
Then I remember: I had an argument, I ate something weird, I went to a party, and my medicine changed.
When I feel "AAAAAAAAAA!," Mood Loops helps me break down the reasons, and life stops feeling like an emergency and more like something I can deal with.
If that resonates with you, you will like Mood Loops! If you're still not sure, try reading the Why Mood Loops? page.
With all your predictions indexed, you can look ahead and estimate how you'll be feeling tomorrow, next week, or months from now.
By the way, you can use the same loop system to remember anything that doesn't fit in a regular calendar, like 30-day medication refills.
Mood Loops comes with an alert system where you can monitor important state transitions, like when 🟢️ changes to ⚠️.
It can even watch for when different loops are going to overlap in certain ways, like a period and a recurring task. Let me know if you use this!
You can get notifications over email or view future alerts in the app.
I think you will really like Mood Loops. It's free to use if you only track a few things. Sign up with just your email and try it out, or read on for more use cases. -Austin
Plan for how your cycle could affect your plans or partner (read this). If yours is consistent, the calendar should be especially useful.
